How I Beat Constipation

If you’re reading this, you are probably having trouble pooping. I once was never able to poop. I had absolutely no idea what was wrong with me. All of a sudden I noticed that it had been weeks and no poop. When I did poop, it was tiny little balls. It looked like bunny pellets. I knew something had to be wrong with me. I was able to figure out a way to get my pooping back to normal. Since I believe I have the secret, I would like to share my findings. If you want to get your pooping back on track, then keep reading.

I decided to take matters into my own hands and tried and treat my constipation myself. I spoke to my mom and my friends about what I should do. My friend suggested stool softeners, so I bought a bottle and started taking them every morning. For the first couple of days it seemed to make my poop softer, but then after like 3 days I was back to my usually hard, tiny-ball poop. I continued to take my stool softener anyways. After about five months with no poop and lots of pushing, I decided I needed a new method. I wanted to try laxatives. I went to Walmart and bought a some laxative pills on sale for 88 cents. LOL. I read the instructions and took three of the pills. Approximately six hours later I was in the bathroom with diarrhea for an hour. It was terrible, yet so reliving at the same time. I decided that this was my new routine. During the week, I would suffer through without pooping; then Sunday night, I would pop my three little laxatives and poop my weeks worth of food out at 6 am Monday morning. (This method was probably my biggest mistake in my pooping journey.)

My body was becoming dependent on the laxatives, no pills = no poop. My poop became a regular concern of mine. Everyone new my pooping problem and was worried about me. I literally made the topic of poop one of my usual conversation starters, it actually came with some great tips and advice. Almost everyone told me to lay off the laxatives, try the Smooth Moves Tea, and more stool softeners. I then found a stool softener with stimulant laxatives. This worked very well for me, I would take it every morning around 8am then I would be on the toilet pooping by 11am. I used this method for about a year. I did this until I started feeling extremely nauseas every morning. I got really nervous and wondered what could be causing it. I decided to stop taking my stool softener, and boom no more nausea. Only problem I was still stuck with my constipation.

My mom one day bought me the Benefiber tablets. They were fruity and delicious, I would take 3 pills, 3 times a day. This worked really well for the first week but then slowly my poop went form very soft to hard again. I continued to do this for a few months, until one day I went to CVS and they were sold-out. Needing to find another solution I decided to try Meta Mucil, the powder that you mix with water. The first day I tried it, 20 minuets later I was in the bathroom pooping. I continued doing this and everyday I was able to do a good, and soft-poop. I took a trip to the gastroenterologist for her to do some tests on me and make sure my constipation was nothing to worry about. When all my tests came back negative and I had no symptoms that would require a colonoscopy, I was relived. My doctor told me that I should continue taking my Meta Mucil, but to take it twice or three times a day instead of once. She also gave me samples of align the probiotic, with this she also gave me some tips. I can finally say I have cured my constipations. It has been about three months since my doctors appointment and everyday I have a good, soft-poop. Down below I will summarize my results. DISCLOSURE: I am not a doctor these methods are what worked for me and I am sharing incase someone would like to try them :).
